What Ho, my little chickadees

I was pondering the other day that The Pothunters, written in 1900, is
stll under copyright, and will be for another 17 years (in Australia at
least, where the rule is the author's death + 50 years).

Is this some sort of record?

It's got to be close; not too many people live for 75 years more after
they publsh a book.

Yes, however the new rule is author's death+70 years, so it probably
won't continue to be a record for too long.
