hello fellow Plummies,

just a quick note to anyone attending the TWS convention in st paul
June 11-14. i am attending same, but my lovely wife is not, so in
these belt-tightening times i am hoping to find a (male, non-smoking)
roommate. i have a reservation @ the st paul hotel for Thurs-Monday at
the convention rate, so if interested in co-habiting for any or all of
those nights please let me know.

tintery tonk,

ps - if you are attending the convention and are arriving Thursday
along with the rest of the cognoscenti, please note one Thursday
evening entertainment option, if entertainment is the word i want to
use, is to hoist a fork/goblet/tankard at the black dog coffee and
wine bar, where i (under the easier to spell alias 'terry kitchen'),
along with special guest Plum Lines editor Gary Hall, will be singing
folk songs at you from 8-10 pm. said venue was chosen for its unique
combination of an impressive wine list/beer selection/light menu &
being less than a mile from the hotel. more at www.blackdogstpaul.com

Hmmm, I know I am late reacting, but what is wrong with a female
roommate?

Is that you have strong feelings about females?

Is that your wife has strong feelings against you sharing a room with
a female?

I, being member of a Trekkers club down here, have shared rooms with
females and males. I mean, with females and males at the same time.
Never with a female alone.

But I have seen one female and and a male (not a couple) of the club
sharing tents.

I do not know what has happened there, but I would have felt
uncomfortable on that event.

I have told a female friend: - Do not ask me to share a tent with you,
unless you want “something else” with myself.

Is it that we have a society problem? Which goes directly to the
question: - Can males and females really be friends?

If you go into a bar and find a man alone you probably start chatting
about football, ponies, baseball or women.

But, if you find a woman alone: - Would you chat about the same things
as with a male or would you start the typical nonsense chat to try to
take her to bed? (hehe).
